Lunch in Tokyo
We did get food to go with our beers - promise! －Renee

Looks like you guys are straight into it! Except Renee has already forgotten to call her husband... she's already caught up in the excitement... sniff, sniff...
Renee's husband will have lost her for the next month. Life is "full on" in Japan and all the usual routines and customs go out the window on Day One.
The post said "Lunch" but it appears to have consisted of beers only. If the temperature change from Tasmania is what I imagine it was, I can understand that you were all more thirsty than hungry.
This place was classic!! Japanese bar type restaurant where you wer thinking....hmmm and they cook the food where exactly? But, I thought it was terrific, great old music - music memorabilia John Travolta in that oh so sexy white suit in Saturday Night Fever. Even bigger bonus - the waiter spoke excellent English!!!
