Wednesday morning started with "free time" with our host families but most of us had another experience-packed morning.
I went to my host father's food production company - Mishima foods (rice seasonings and other products) and scrubbed up similar to a surgical operation before entering the production area.
Fiona went to the Manga library which was fantastic!
The afternoon was a trip by bus and ferry to Miyajima Island - a world heritage area. The area was beautiful, and we sampled the local delicacy Momiji Manjyu - maple leaf shaped waffle cakes with various fillings including sweet red beans and custard cream.
